A Russian spacecraft transporting NASA astronaut Nick Hague to the International Space Station launched flawlessly Thursday -- no small feat given the aborted launch of different spacecraft he was on-board last year.

Facebook is under a criminal investigation over its data-sharing agreements with major technology firms and manufactures, ABC News has confirmed. Federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York are looking into the social networking giant's sharing deals with other big tech companies, a source with knowledge of the matter told ABC News Wednesday. The probe comes just months after The New York Times published a report accusing Facebook of giving well-known electronics companies, including smartphone makers, more intrusive access to users' personal data than it previously disclosed.

MPs have voted by 413 to 202 - a majority of 211 - for Prime Minister Theresa May to ask the EU for a delay to Brexit. It means the UK may not now leave on 29 March as previously planned. Mrs May says Brexit could be delayed by three months, to 30 June, if MPs back her deal in a vote next week. If they reject her deal again then she says she will seek a longer extension - but any delay has to be agreed by the 27 other EU member states.

Facebook has said that a "server configuration change" was to blame for the worst outage in its history. It said it had "triggered a cascading series of issues" for its platforms, including WhatsApp and Instagram. The disruption, which lasted for more than 14 hours, left most of its products inaccessible around the globe. It took the social network giant a full day from when the problems began to offer any explanation. It added that everything was now back to normal.

Two top executives at Facebook are leaving as part of a "new chapter" for the social media network, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Thursday. Chief Product Officer Chris Cox and WhatsApp Vice President Chris Daniels are departing amid Facebook's push to rebuild Facebook with stronger privacy in mind. Cox has a 13-year history with Facebook, starting as one of the company's first 15 engineers, who then worked his way up the ranks. The departures come less than two weeks after Zuckerberg announced a shift in Facebook's focus toward privacy after years of criticisms over the company's handling of users' personal data. He offered little in the way of specifics, but did announce a plan to merge messaging services through Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.ay, he said the company will forever be a part of his life.
