Michelle Wolf Attacks Sarah Sanders 'Ugly Personality'
Comedian Michelle Wolf, who made controversial comments about White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the White House Correspondence Dinner, is at it again on the debut of her Netflix talk show “The Break.” As previously reported, the star came under fire for taking a crack at Sanders in a bit that many believed as less a joke and more a shot at the press secretary’s looks. New York Times Columnist Declares Trump A ‘White Supremacist’
A New York Times columnist declared in Monday’s paper that it is a “settled fact” at this point that President Donald Trump “is a racist and white supremacist.” Charles Blow also referred to the president as a “weasel” and proceeded to name a number of offenses supposedly proving that Trump is an avowed bigot. “The racism has become almost routine,” Blow wrote. Mitch McConnell On Filling The Federal Bench: 'This Is My Top Priority'
For Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, 2018 could be defined by one word: judges. More than any other issue or cause in this midterm election year, the Kentucky Republican says he is focusing the chamber's agenda on confirming as many of President Trump's lifetime judicial appointments as possible before the end of the year. "There are over 1,200 executive branch appointments that come to us for confirmation, and among the most important — in fact, I would argue, the most important — confirmations we have are lifetime appointments to the judiciary," McConnell told NPR in an interview in his U.S. Capitol office on Thursday. "Obviously, this is my top priority." NPR

Trump Just Put The 'Me' In His Memorial Day Tweet

Trump Blames Dems For Seperation Of Migrant Families At Border
President Donald Trump's administration is implementing a new policy that will separate more children from their parents at the border, despite the president falsely blaming Democrats and an unspecified "horrible law" for their decision. The administration confirmed this month that breaking up families was a byproduct of their new "zero tolerance" plan to prosecute everyone who crosses the border illegally, which would require minors who traveled with their family to be taken into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services. Under the previous policy, children were usually allowed to stay with their parents in shelters while awaiting legal proceedings. NBC
VOA VIEW: The blame is on the Dems and those to come into the country illegally.

Christian Comic Writer, Takes on the Facebook-Google Mafia's 'Duopoly On Information'
On Tuesday, Christian comic writer Adam Ford announced he had sold the popular satire website "The Babylon Bee" for a variety of reasons. While Ford said he sold the Bee for personal as well as ideological reasons, his statement emphasized his battle against the "tyranny over information" stemming from the centralization of the Internet around sites like Facebook and Google. Ford noted that the Babylon Bee succeeded largely thanks to social media and Facebook in particular, "but the power that Facebook held over me as a content creator began to make me very uneasy," he said in an extended statement. FBI Agents Afraid To Testify, Say Congress Likely Won’t Protect Them
Even as a new Rasmussen poll shows a majority of voters believe senior law enforcement officials broke the law to stop Donald Trump from beating Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, rank-and-file FBI agents who want to testify against their superiors to Congress feel they can’t due to an ineffective whistleblower protection law. These agents believe the sluggishness of the law exposes them to an inordinate risk of reprisal, so they have remained in hiding and afraid to speak the truth. Daily Caller

US And China Clash Over Technology Transfer At WTO
Chinese and U.S. envoys sparred at the World Trade Organization on Monday over U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims that China steals American ideas, the subject of two lawsuits and a White House plan to slap huge punitive tariffs on Chinese goods. U.S. Ambassador Dennis Shea said “forced technology transfer” was often an unwritten rule for companies trying to access China’s burgeoning marketplace, especially if they were partnering with a state-owned or state-directed Chinese firm. Reuters
VOA VIEW: China is pushing to hard and will find out real quick that the US and Trump will not be bullied.

The call to prayer bounces off the walls of the Hamtramck Islamic centre, punctuated by the sipping of lemon juice and the chewing of dates. Cryptocurrency Miners Make Big Promises In Small Towns
Massena, N.Y., perched on the northernmost border of New York state, is the archetype of the company town that has lost its companies. Downtown there's a pillared town hall and a Main Street lined with stately old buildings, along with an empty union hall, a couple of banks and restaurants, and a bunch of vacant storefronts — echoes of the town's more prosperous past. Despite Brexit Detractors, Signs Of Strength In Britain’s Economy
Sometimes when you look at the facts, they just don’t jibe with the commentary from the chattering classes. Take, for instance, the UK economy. The stock market recently hit a record, the same for investment, and unemployment is at a 42-year low. While that wouldn’t sound too shabby to most people, it does to some folks. They are the so-called “re-moaners,” the people who moan about the need for the country to remain in the European Union. PJ Media

Why Avenatti’s Financial Past Hurts Stormy Daniels
Michael Avenatti, the California attorney who represents Stephanie Clifford, the pornographic actress who is suing President Donald Trump and his former chief counsel Michael Cohen, has said little about the body of reporting relating to his past bankruptcies and mounting back taxes. The cut-throat litigator and cable news fixture asserted the episodes have no bearing on his representation of Clifford or her lawsuit against the president. But the details those reports describe could substantially bear on his ability to intervene in other legal proceedings essential to the success of Clifford’s lawsuit. Daily Caller

Crappy birthday, Rudy. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani celebrated his 74th birthday at Yankee Stadium on Monday — where the crowd gave him a big Bronx jeer for his big day. The boos went up as the Yankees wished Giuliani a happy birthday over the loudspeaker. The heckles weren’t as loud as those for the Houston Astros, however. The man once known as “America’s Mayor” recently joined President Trump’s legal team amid the federal probe into Russian election interference and has been a regular presence on TV news shows supporting the commander in chief. Chelsea Clinton Doesn’t Think Ivanka Trump Deserves Any Sympathy
Leading up to the 2016 presidential election, Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump maintained the facade that their friendship was intact, despite their parents’ rivalry — a claim that was, rightfully, met with skepticism. Since Donald Trump was sworn into office, the two have stayed relatively mum on the nature of their relationship, but in a new interview with the Guardian, Chelsea finally reveals her thoughts on the First Daughter. Franklin Graham Invades ‘Godless’ California
There is a lot going on in the runup to the June 5 primary in California. But in a long, puffy piece for the New York Times, Elizabeth Dias draws attention to a development that is probably less important politically than she seems to believe, but is fascinating from a historical and sociological perspective. Franklin Graham, who inherited his looks and his ministry from his father, the late Billy Graham, has returned to the California arena where Billy Graham’s ministry first gained major national attention (especially in a 1949 “crusade” in Los Angeles that made him an anticommunist icon as well as a celebrity winner of souls).
