Republicans are seizing on Vice President Kamala Harris’ selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, launching immediate attacks centered on his handling of the George Floyd protests in 2020.

     Republicans have launched swift and pointed attacks against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz following his selection as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, with a primary focus on his management of the 2020 protests that erupted after George Floyd's death, The Hill reported.  House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., criticized Walz on X, stating that Walz "let rioters burn Minneapolis to the ground in 2020."
