The Mayor and police chief should be fired for his lack of leadership in protecting life and property.  The mayor of Minneapolis imposed a citywide 8 p.m. curfew starting Friday night following three nights of destructive protests in the city over the death of George Floyd.  The curfew will bar people from all traveling in all public spaces, including streets in the city, according to the order signed by mayor Jacob Frey. Violators of the curfew can be fined up to $1,000 or imprisoned for up to a year, the mayor said.

The order comes after protesters torched a police precinct and several other buildings in the city Thursday night during a demonstration in the wake of Floyd’s killing by a Minneapolis police officer.  Ex-cop Derek Chauvin was arrested Friday and hit with a murder charge in the killing of Floyd.  This display of looting and rioting is about people who are of no substance looking for chaos.
