Romney is still sore that he lost to Obama. President Trump continued on Sunday to rip into Sen. Mitt Romney for criticizing the president for urging foreign leaders to investigate Joe Biden a day after he called the Utah Republican a “pompous ‘ass.'”

“The Democrats are lucky that they don’t have any Mitt Romney types. They may be lousy politicians, with really bad policies (Open Borders, Sanctuary Cities etc.), but they stick together!” Trump wrote on his Twitter page.

In a series of postings on Saturday, the president said “somebody please wake up Mitt Romney and tell him that my conversation” with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky “was a congenial and very appropriate one.”

He also said Romney, who was defeated in 2012 by President Obama, “never knew how to win” before calling him a “pompous ‘ass.'” Trump’s lashing out at Romney follow the senator’s criticism of Trump’s comments last Thursday calling on China and Ukraine to investigate Biden, a Democratic presidential candidate. Romney described Trump’s appeal for an investigation “wrong and appalling” and suggested it was political.
